What Matrix is
Matrix is a set of small tools that generate something from what you type — a QR code, a barcode, a sticker sheet, a tax figure. It is free to use, and we offer it as it is. We do not promise it will suit a particular purpose of yours.
Check what it gives you before you rely on it
A generated code is only as right as what you typed, and we cannot tell a typo from an intention. So the checking is yours to do:
- Check a UPI code by paying yourself a rupee before you put it in front of a customer. A UPI ID with one wrong character belongs to someone else or to nobody, and a payment sent to it is not ours to recover and may not be recoverable at all.
- Scan one of everything before printing at any scale. A barcode that scans on screen and not on your label stock is a printing problem, and it is cheaper to find on one sheet than on a thousand.
- Treat a tax figure as arithmetic, not advice. The GST calculator does the sum you asked for. Which sum is the right one for your invoice is between you and your accountant.
Fair use
Use Matrix for your own work, including commercially — the codes and sheets it produces are yours and we claim nothing in them.
Do not use it to generate anything unlawful, to impersonate someone else's payment details, or to attack, overload or interfere with the service. We may block use that does, and close an account behind it.
Your account
An account is optional. If you have one, keep access to the email address behind it, because that address is how anyone signs in — there is no password to lose, and whoever can read that inbox can reach your saved details.
You can ask us to close your account at any time.
Interruptions and changes
Matrix may be unavailable at times, and we may change, add or withdraw tools. Nothing you have already generated and saved depends on us staying up.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using Matrix — including a misdirected payment, a code that would not scan, or a figure used in an invoice. Nothing here limits a liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
The privacy policy says what we do with the little we store.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
